MATES project partner, ASIME, will launch the Maritime Trends Summit on 22nd of October 2020 – an international forum to debate the present state and the future of naval, maritime and ports industries.
The Maritime Trends Summit, which will be biennial, will bring together the main industrial stakeholders: companies, organisations and institutions to discuss the main challenges faced by industry. Stakeholders include the Spanish Army, Navantia, the European Commission, Greenanalia, Iberdrola, the European Parliament, the European Association of Ports and the Logistics Center of Fraunhofer, the biggest European research organisation, among others.
Some of the topics to be discussed include the challenges towards decarbonisation and the Blue Economy, boats of the future through artificial intelligence, unmanned boats, the offshore wind market, sustainable ports and intelligent logistics, which is changing the supply chain.
It will be a hybrid event, online and in person in Vigo (North West of Spain). 80 people have been invited, mainly institutional profiles, in order to follow the Covid-19 restrictions and in parallel it will be streamed live, allowing more than 300 online participants to partake.
